Worth Sharing This Month

 

In my most recent blog post, I shared three popular meditation and mindfulness apps aimed at helping you detach from work stress. Today, I’m excited to highlight yet another resource that’s both excellent and completely free. 

This is a simple 5-minute body scan meditation that you do lying down. It’ll help you release stress and anxiety while practising dropping out of the mind and into the body so that you can fully disconnect from the day’s stressors. Body scan meditations are particularly effective in helping people shift their focus completely to the present moment.

I highly recommend using this as a ritual practice to signify the end of your work day, which is something I talked about in more detail last week. If you’re working from home, shut down your computer and then find a quiet calm place in your house with low lighting. Or if you work in an office, do this as soon as you get home. You can also use this meditation before bed or as a reset during your day when you are feeling the need to rejuvenate your energy.
