This Month’s Blog Posts
October 14th, 2022 – Q&A: How can I stop over-investing & taking on too much at work?
This month’s question is an important conversation because we typically assume burnout is down to external pressures, yet oftentimes personal habits and behaviours play a key role. In Pamela’s case, she has recognised her workaholic tendencies and wants to find a way to stop over-investing and taking on too much at work: Read the full post here
October 21st, 2022 – Protect & support your immune system this winter
Immunity has become a hot topic over the past couple of years for obvious reasons. So, as we approach winter, where more people typically get colds and flu, and what with the big C still hanging around, I thought it would be a good time to revisit this topic so that you can make sure your immune system is as strong and resilient as possible: Read it here
Worth Sharing This Month
In keeping with last week’s blog post on protecting your immunity, I want to share two of my favourite immune-boosting supplements:
Wellness Formula by Source Naturals
Wellness Formula is a supplement that delivers high-potency vitamin C, plus more than 25 other vitamins, minerals, and time-tested herbs for advanced immune support.
I use this supplement year-round for general immune support, taking 1 tablet a day. I also use it to give my immune system a real boost when I feel run down or want to fight something off, then I’ll take up to 9 per day.
Source Naturals is an American brand but many UK websites sell Wellness Formula and you can also find it in most health food shops.
Ener-C
Ener-C is an effervescent vitamin drink mix that comes in a variety of natural fruit flavours. The vitamin and mineral sources have been chosen for their quality and for their ability to absorb easily in the body
I buy their box of 30 sachets so that I have a decent supply of these at home for emergency use. As soon as I feel the first signs of a cold or sore throat coming on, I’ll take one sachet in a pint of water. I may take up to 3 per day if I’m trying to ward off becoming ill.
You can also use Ener-C after a workout to replenish your electrolytes, for an energy boost and they can even lessen the effects of a hangover.
I rarely ever get ill. Whilst that’s definitely not just down to taking these supplements, I do think it’s possible to fend off illnesses like colds and flu if you take immune-boosting supplements when you feel the first symptoms coming on.
However, remember, you must slow down and rest as well – supplements aren’t a fix so that you can push on through symptoms! … And, if you need more convincing, see last week’s blog post for the best ways to support and protect your immune system.
